ECDD Comoros home

Engagement Communautaire pour le Développement Durable (ECDD) is a project working in the Comoro Islands to develop a model for community landscape management, integrating improved livelihoods and the sustainable management of natural resources – soil, water, forest and biodiversity.

Komori ya lao na meso is the project’s slogan which means ‘The Comoros of today and tomorrow’.

The project is a partnership between Bristol Conservation and Science Foundation, Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, Agronomes et Vétérinaires Sans Frontières and the Government of the Union of the Comoros, alongside other local partners. Principal funders are the Agence Française de Développement, the UK government’s Darwin Initiative and the Global Environment Facility.
